The Almaden Valley hosts an abundance of key attractions and public recreation sites in addition to it's picturesque hills and distinct custom and semi-custom housing developments.
Almaden is an integral suburban location to Silicon Valley. Despite it's reputation as an affluent neighborhood with consistent recognitions for it's home value and market stability, high income per capita, local amenities as well as lower crime rates compared to other parts of San Jose, it's main industry remains high technology research and development.
Geographically, the neighborhood of Almaden lies in the southeast corner of the overall south bay region with the city of Los Gatos to the west, and encompassed by the Santa Teresa Hills and Santa Cruz Mountains.
Historically, Almaden Valley has had a number of quicksilver or mercury mines utilized during the gold extraction era of the California Gold Rush, and was named after the New Almaden Quicksilver Mines found in the old Almadén region of Spain.
An abundance of quant parks, trails and recreation can be found across the area, including Almaden Quicksilver County Park, Almaden and Guadalupe Reservoir, Quicksilver and Hacienda Trails, Almaden Country Club, and Almaden Athletic Club.
We are proud to serve current and prospective residents of this wonderful community.
